Austrian Science Talk (AST) in Vancouver
This year's AST took place on September 18, 2010 in Vancouver. The topic was "The Globalization of Science and Technology - Chances and Challenges in Austria."
The AST brings together Austrian scientists and scholars in North America with a delegation of Austrian experts in science, research, and technology Policy to discuss policy developments and new opportunities. ASciNA Award Ceremony 2010
The ASciNA Awards 2010 - funded by the Austrian Minister for Science and Research, Beatrix Karl - was once again awarded in the categories ‘Young Scientist Award' and ‘Junior PI Award'.
The ceremony took place on September 17, 2010 at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver, Canada. Secretary General Friedrich Faulhammer of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Science and Research performed the award ceremony on the evening prior to the Austrian Science Talk 2010. OST Scientist Network Event in San Diego
On the occasion of the 2010 annual AAAS Conference in San Diego, the OST and ASciNA organized a reception for Austrian scientists. Following the workshop organized by the European Commission on European scientists in the US, a networking dinner took place at a local restaurant.
