Simone Mesner from the Austrian Council for Research and Technology Development (Rat-FTE) held a lecture at the Austrian Embassy addressing questions such as: Which measures do we need in order to increase R&D expenditure and R&D performance in Austria? How can we motivate young scientists and attract international researchers?

The panel discussion was jointly sponsored by the MIT Club of Washington, DC, and the Office of Science & Technology (OST). The panel consisted of William A. Blanpied, Kenneth F. Gordon, Raoul Kneucker, and Michael Quear, and was moderated by Philipp Steger from the OST.
