Since 2002, Klaus Heissenberger has taught at institutions of higher education in Austria, including the University of Vienna, the National Defense Academy, and the University of Applied Sciences in Vienna (FH Campus Wien).
His areas of teaching are American studies and cultural studies and English as a foreign language. He also organizes teacher-training seminars in cultural studies and media studies. With Astrid Fellner (Saarland University) and Tim Conley (Bradley University, IL), he is organizing the collaborative student exchange “Transatlantic Dialogues: American/ Cultural Studies as a Transnational Project .”
Klaus Heissenberger holds a master’s degree in English and American studies from the University of Vienna, Austria, where he is currently working on his Ph.D. He is an alumnus of the Salzburg Global Seminar .
