Ilona F. Aberl works for the Montgomery County Fire/Rescue Service as the Office Services Coordinator for the Silver Spring Volunteer Fire Department in Silver Spring, MD.

She was formerly the Office Manager for the Office of Science & Technology from January 2003 through December 2006. In her free time, she serves as a volunteer EMT-B and Treasurer for the Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department in Olney, MD since 1999.

Aberl holds B.A. degrees in British and American Literature and German Language and Literature from the University of Maryland.
