Markus Pichler is studying business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, where he specializes in entrepreneurship & innovation as well as marketing management.

Besides his studies, Pichler has gained hands-on practice while working with the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and through his engagement in starting up the Junior Enterprise icons - consulting by students, where he has been a member of the Executive Board since July 2009. Pichler has been working with the core team of project-e, an educational development program in Ethiopia, for which the team won the Social Impact Award in Vienna in June 2009.

He also completed a study visit at INEX Summer University in San Jose, Costa Rica, with classes in sustainable responsibility and international marketing, and internships with Virginia Tech in North Carolina, US, and Morelia, Mexico.
