Andreas Bernhard Geisler has been working for the Austrian Research Promotion Agency since 2003. He manages the Austrian Aeronautics Research Program TAKE OFF, adds his expertise to the FP6 committee "Aeronautics & Space," and is a representative on the Airbus Intergovernmental Committee.

Prior to assuming his current position, he worked for the Federal Ministry of Education, Science, and Culture; the Institute of Plant Physiology at the University of Vienna; and Unilever Austria Inc., among others.

In 2005 Andreas Geisler received his Ph.D. from the University of Vienna for his doctoral study of, "Ecosystems based structure and material balance and contribution to a carbon consistent database for Austria."
