![]() Shireen Yousef Science Assistant Office of International Science and Engineering National Science Foundation Arlington, Virginia Shireen Yousef has worked as a science assistant in the Global Initiative Program of the Office of International Science and Engineering (OISE) at the National Science Foundation (NSF) since May 2008. She provides support to different OISE programs, including the Partnerships for International Research and Education (PIRE) Program and the International Research Fellowship (IRFP) Program. Prior to her position in OISE, she was an environmental information specialist at Technical Resources International. Yousef earned a B.S in education and science from Menoufia University in Egypt, and a master’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Texas-Pan American. Her master’s research focused on the use of remote sensing techniques and color infrared imageries in the detection of plant nutrition and salinity stress. Contributions
