Florian Pecenka has been science attaché in Brussels since the first of September 2010, and is responsible for the area of higher education.

He studied law at the University of Vienna, and during his studies spent one year in Madrid, participating in the Erasmus program. Since his graduation in 2002, Pecenka has completed an internship at the Austrian Courts, was previously involved with the organization of the Austrian EU Presidency in 2006, and is now responsible for EU and international matters in the Ministry of Science and Research. He was a visiting expert at the Office of Science & Technology from January to June 2008.


Pecenka holds a master's degree in law and received the degree, Master of Advanced International Studies, from Aliter Madrid. He also holds an M.B.A. in public management from SMBS – University of Salzburg Business School.
