Dorothea Altschul is a board-certified Interventional Vascular Neurologist. She joined Columbia Neurosurgery at their Ridgewood office location in August 2010.

She completed an Interventional Neuroradiology fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons. Prior to that she trained in Vascular and Critical Care Neurology at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Women's Hospital (Harvard Medical School) in Boston. She finished her neurology training at Montefiore Hospital, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, and a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Neuroepidemiology at the National Institute on Aging (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. Her clinical and research interests include minimally-invasive imaging-guided therapies for the treatment of vascular disorders of the brain and spinal cord.

Strozyk received her medical degree from the Medical University of Vienna in Austria.
