![]() Michael Paula Head of the Division of Energy and Environmental Technologies Austrian Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology Vienna, Austria Michael Paula is head of the unit: Energy and Environmental Technologies and initiated the Austrian Program on Technologies for Sustainable Development.
He has been lector for appropriate technology at the Technical University of Vienna since 1985. Since 1986 he has worked for the ministry in the field of energy research; and later in environmental technologies and strategies for sustainable development. Since 1996 Paula has been head of the unit: Energy and Environmental Technologies. Since 1999 he has worked on R&D strategies of technology-related research for sustainable development. He initiated the Austrian Program on Technologies for Sustainable Development with its subprograms “Building of Tomorrow,” “Factory of Tomorrow,” and “Energy Systems of Tomorrow.” In 2005 he initiated the Strategy Process, Energy 2050. Paula studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Vienna. Contributions
