![]() Gerald Müller-Niklas Project Coordinator brainpower austria Bureau for International Research and Technology Cooperation (BIT) Vienna, Austria gerald.mueller-niklas(at)ffg.at Gerald Müller-Niklas is the project coordinator for brainpower austria (bpa). Since December 2000 he has been heading the "Increasing the Human Research Potential (IHP)" unit of the Bureau for International Research and Technology Cooperation (BIT). This unit functions also as the Austrian National Contact Point for the EU-programme Human resources and Mobility. Previously, Mr. Müller-Niklas taught at several Austrian universities and worked for the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, he participated in the United Nations missions to Iraq as an inspector for biological weapons, and headed scientific expeditions to the Franz Josef Land in the region of the North Pole. Mr. Müller-Niklas holds a Master's degree in Ecology with special focus on aquatic microbial ecology from the University of Vienna. Between 1991 and 1997, Mr. Müller-Niklas spent several years at various research institutions abroad. Contributions
