Josef Teichmann has been associate professor at the Vienna University of Technlogy since October 2002.

From June 2000 to July 2001 he had a Post-doc-position at the Institute of Financial and Actuarial Mathematics in Vienna with special interest in geometrical questions in Stochastic Analysis and Financial Mathematics. Teichmann has been associate professor at the Vienna University of Technology since October 2002. Since 2007, he has been working on the START project at TU Vienna with the budget of Euro 1.2 Millions for a research group since 2007.

Teichmann studied Physics and Mathematics at the University of Graz. He got his Ph.D. at the University of Vienna in May 1999 supervised by Peter Michor.
