Sigismund Huck is Deputy Director of the Brain Research Institute, Division of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Medical University Vienna.

He worked at NY University in New York (on a Max Kade Fellowship), the Max Planck Institute for Psychiatry in Munich, Germany, and as a Visiting Associate Professor at Columbia University, NY. In addition, he was President of the Austrian Neuroscience Association, Chairman of the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) Schools and member of the FENS Executive Council. He is also currently Secretary of the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) Schools of Neuroscience.
