Alexander Unkart
Alexander Unkart is a member of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (BMVIT). He has been with the Ministry since early 2003, where he works for the unit responsible for the internal coordination of EU innovation policy. He also assists Austrian scientists applying for EU COST (Cooperation in the Field of Scientific and Technical Research) programs.
Prior to joining the BMVIT, Alexander was a controller at the Austrian Patent Office. In 2001, he worked at the EU Representation Office of Carinthia in Brussels, Belgium.
Alexander was a Senior Visiting Expert at the Office of Science and Technology (OST) in Washington, D.C. His assignment was from September 2004 through August 2005. He holds a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Vienna, Austria.
