On October 1, the first "Lange Nacht
der Forschung" ("Night of Research") will take place in Innsbruck,
Linz, and Vienna. Following the motto "into science!" more than 70
academic, non-academic, and commercial institutions will open their
laboratory doors to the public. Starting from three "Treffpunkten
Forschung" ("meeting places for research") located in the respective
city centers, 13 shuttle bus routes – defined as “X.PEDITIONEN” – will
lead to several sites of research. Each of these 150 sites gives
insight into the various positions of contemporary research on the
extensively discussed issue of security.
