Recent Trends in International Science and Technology Policy Print E-mail

In the following, some main results from a recent study about international trends and developments in science and technology policy are briefly summarized (see Rammer et al., 2004). The study, which was carried out by a team of researchers from the German Center for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim and the Austrian Institute for Technology and Regional Policy of Joanneum Research on behalf of the German Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF), compared recent trends in the United States, Japan, France, the United Kingdom, and Finland to what was occurring in Germany and found a number of important developments currently taking place.
